As we approach the final stretch to the grand opening of the Trans Canada Trail in 2017, funding from the Trans Canada Trail Foundation and the Winnipeg Foundation has been received to assist us with linking the Crow Wing Trail to Winnipeg via the floodway. Construction of crossings at the north end of Shapansky Road and at the bottom of the St. Mary’s Road Bridge will be completed this year. The Crow Wing Trail will finally be identified with a trailhead sign next to the St. Mary’s Rd Bridge, in the vicinity of the Duff Roblin Park signs.
