Our maintenance crew was out by Ridgeville a while back and stumbled across a pool of water covering the trail. They realized that it was being blocked by some beaver buildings, and after some investigation, they found the dam. After assessing the situation, they saw that if they cleared the debris from the road that it wouldn’t cause the beavers any harm.
Now the path is clear with an additional pathway along the cattails if you don’t want to get your shoes too muddy. But remember to always be prepared for any trail conditions, especially after a big downfall!
