Ice and floating trees were no match for the Senkiw Bridge this spring! Here are the before and after pictures! While fixing the bridge, Wayne installed a sign for river travellers, identifying the suspension bridge as a very important link in the Trans Canada Trail.
June 29th to July 4th: Trail was mowed and most fallen trees cleared. While most of the trail is good, there are several sections on dirt/grass roads left rutted by motorized vehicle use. We continue to work with our municipal partners to address these issues. One needs to remember that conditions were less than ideal in the 1800’s when traveling by Red River Ox Cart. Those travels were necessary, while ours are adventures we choose to take. Enjoy the experience!
