Trail Maintenance Day #1 – June 29th 2016
We were very lucky to have a few dry days between all these rains. After four years, we have now mastered the “art” of loading and unloading the tractor and mower for transportation between grass trails, and we manage to weedwack and repair trail signs all on the same day!
Our biggest challenge this year is draining and repairing the water holes to prevent greater damage.
We are finding that, although dirt roads are great for cyclists and pedestrians when they are dry, the fact of the matter is we need to have an all-weather trail or people will hesitate venturing out. We are looking at ways of dealing with this issue.
