Mowing was completed late in the evening of June 22nd. We pushed hard to get it done, from Emerson to the Floodway and did. Most of the mowing is in the RM of Franklin, a bit in the RM of De Salaberry and then a bit more around St. Adolphe. As the big black cloud loomed over the city…..we got onto the Floodway past the bumpers on Shapansky Rd. Mowed to under the bridge… to the Floodway trail head start area. We even mowed around the Duff Roblin signs as some were barely in view with grass growing high. Mowed all that nicely, loaded up the tractor and mower and bolted back to St.Adolphe to top up with fuel before the service station closed. We encountered many water holes, so we pressure washed the tractor/mower and returned it to the Tractor People clean as a whistle as we always do. As we left St Adolphe, it poured. Rained all the way to Dominion City and then it stopped for the 9 miles back to Emerson. A lot of different terrain and climate along the Crow Wing Trail!
Hope the trail users enjoy the trail now that it is mowed!
